僕の新しい年のテーマはこの言葉から。
一日で千里を駆ける行動力、そして、千里を還り復活するという願いを込めて・・・。

ジロさん、明けましておめでとうございます。

この言葉にはいろんな意味があるようです。一日千里は虎の勢いと行動力。そしてその日のうちに虎は千里を帰るそうです。
何のために虎は帰るかというと、巣に残した子どもを思ってのこと。親の愛情の深さを示す言葉でもあるようです。

坂井三郎の「大空のサムライ」にもこの虎にまつわるエピソードがあります。
傷ついた坂井が内地に送還されるされる際に、上官の笹井中隊長が自分のベルトのバックルを坂井に与えています。そのバックルには虎が刻まれていました。笹井中尉の両親が笹井に生きて還れるようにと願いを込めたものです。
笹井中尉はその後間もなく戦死してしまいますが、坂井は終戦まで生き抜くんです。

僕はこの言葉に「復活」の意味を込めてみました。
